Tube Failure Detection (TDF) system Patent No. 7,001,153

Breakthrough technology for Peristaltic Pumps.

The TFD system will detect a wide range of chemicals (i.e. chlorine, acids, soaps, etc.). This unique technology was designed to ignore pump friendly fluids; such as water condensation and lubricants.

New! Download the TFD data sheet for more details. (PDF file)

How does it work?

If a chemical is detected in the pumphead (by tube failure), the pump will automatically shut off and energize a relay, permitting communications with external equipment, such as an alarm or a SCADA system.
The chemical must be cleaned from the pump head and the tubing should be replaced before the pump will start again.

  • The TFD system will come standard on our most popular pump models.
    No extra cost to you.

  • Standard on all Blue-White peristaltic pumps.

  • The sensors are located within the pumphead.
Sensors are constructed of chemical resistant Hastelloy-C.

  • Only Blue-White offers this technology. Patent No. 7,001,153
